Jennifer Bennett, DNP, FNP-C

Dr. Jennifer Bennett is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an extensive clinical and academic background in nursing. A native of Delhi, Louisiana, she was raised in Winnsboro and graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1976. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeast Louisiana University in 1981, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from Grambling State University in 2005. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2016. Dr. Bennett is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. Bennett began her career as a Registered Nurse, working in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Dialysis alongside Drs. Blondin, Rutherford, and Harter. After becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2005, she served at NELA Health Center in Rayville from 2003 to 2008 before opening Start Community Clinic in February 2009. The clinic was acquired by Richardson Medical Center in 2013, where she continues to provide comprehensive care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bennett serves as an adjunct professor of nursing at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she teaches nurse practitioner students.
